Through our Lab Series Program, Virginia Players is interested in providing a vehicle for students to produce and direct their own theatrical work, mentored by the Virginia Players and Drama Department. By being selected to participate in Lab Series, directors/playwrights will receive up to $200 to put on their proposed project in a Drama Department performance facility. With our resources and guidance, we aspire to give opportunities and experience to students interested in learning more about theatrical production, as well as making their passion project an on-stage reality.
We are looking to put on 3 distinct theatrical productions for this Fall Semester. Possible performance projects may include:
- Student written work
- Staged readings
- Short published plays
- Any kind of performance art! Dance, music, comedy shows, magic, puppetry, poetry, you name it!
